Learn More About CBD With Our FAQs
Will taking CBD help with my illness?
Unfortunately, we are not able to give medical advice as our CBD products are sold as food supplements to help support and maintain a healthy body and mind. It’s always important to do your own thorough research-depending on what you are using CBD for. Before trying it out, there is lots of reading material on the internet. Just type CBD for your problem and you can start researching from there.
With that said, you do not have to be ‘ill’ to use CBD; it is for everyone no matter how healthy you may be. It provides a source of essential nutrients, vitamins, minerals, healthy fatty acids like Omega-3, protein and it’s organically grown too.
Regardless of your age, CBD has dozens of wellness benefits. Many of us realise the importance of “balance” in our daily lives. Balancing work and play is a critical part of our physical and mental health. Using CBD as a daily supplement is a great way to support your body’s Endocannabinoid system and keep it in balance so why not use it as a preventative!
Will I get high/stoned from taking CBD?
The simple answer is NO as none of our products contain THC which is the well known cannabinoid that produces the high.
CBD is simply a non-intoxicating component which has enormous potential. Your state of mind etc. will not change if you take CBD at all. Although it can make changes in the body- this isn’t one of them.
The way we extract CBD allows us to pull all of the natural and beneficial nutrients out of the cannabis plant without getting anything nasty in there as well. Not only are you NOT getting high, but you are getting a product from us that’s natural and safe.
Is it legal?
CBD is legal, because hemp is legal in the UK. Hemp is a plant that is safe, natural, and non-toxic. It can be used for almost anything. There need not to be any grey areas when it comes to CBD.
When it comes to cannabis, however, it is still illegal to use it or possess it. Maybe this is why people tend to get confused. Cannabidiol (CBD) though, is not considered a controlled substance in the UK. It is therefore 100% legal and can be freely distributed in the UK without restrictions.
If you want to use CBD products it is TOTALLY legal to do so.
Will I fail a drug test?
No, as drug tests are looking for traces of THC which is the psychoactive cannabinoid that is illegal in the UK and our products contain less than 0.2% THC or zero and we stringently test our products and supply on request 3rd party certificates of analysis that show what is exactly in our products.
How much do I need daily?
Each person’s endocannabinoid system works differently and reacts differently with each person’s body. There is no straight, solid scientific information that states how much CBD you should be taking at any one time, always start off with a small dose and work your way up.
Height and weight play a part as well as the quality of the CBD oil. If you are bigger or taller than the average person you may need more and visa versa. Also, if you have smoked cannabis in the past you may feel like you need more.
Either way we advise you do not go over the daily dosage recommendation of 200mg.
Can children take CBD?
Since CBD cannabinoids naturally occur in the body they therefore naturally work with the endocannabinoid system to control communication between cells and mediate body function. This means CBD is perfectly safe for children.
CBD is non-psychoactive so your child will categorically not get high from using it. Our products are oil extracted and prove to have no negative effects at all.
In fact, many people report amazing improvements to their general health both mentally and physically after using.
Without children, CBD might never have received as much investigation and study as it has. By providing such a unique nutritional content, CBD hemp oil earns a place among other favourite daily vitamins and supplements to give to your family each day.
How can I take CBD without having to taste the oil?
It’s available in many forms, and all the different means of consumption, make CBD a very versatile product.
The best methods will depend on the person but always remember to start with the recommended serving size, then increase from there.
We have a method of ingestion to suit everyone. The sublingual route of taking CBD is probably the same as the oral route (capsules) with regards to easiness, simplicity, and comfort.
While lots of CBD oils the market have a bad taste our products are extremely refined and we do not include plant matter instead we mix ours with MCT oil which is much more pleasant tasting.
Is CBD suitable for pets?
CBD is perfectly safe for animals and we have a lot of customers who specifically buy for their pets. The truth is the same supplements you take can also be given to your pets. We would just recommend adding the drops of hemp oil to your pet’s food.
Is it addictive?
CBD is categorically not addictive, so let your worries fade away!
A report last year by the World Health Organisation declared that CBD is non-addictive, writing, “In humans, CBD exhibits no effects indicative of any abuse or dependence potential” and that “CBD is well-tolerated and safe for human consumption.”
CBD is not addictive as it contains no/very little THC. THC is the ingredient that causes cannabis to be addictive in some people.
Can I take CBD with other meds?
With taking anything new we would always suggest speaking with a medical professional, CBD can interact with some medicines but only at very high levels so it is on the whole very safe to take and we find lots of our customers actually reduce the amount of prescription drugs they take especially pain killers.
Are CBD oil and hemp oil the same thing?
Hemp seed oil, also sometimes called “hemp oil”, is derived from the seeds of the hemp plant; they contain no phytocannabinoids . The oil is packed full of healthy omega-3 fatty acids, which are proven to do wonders for your skin, but it doesn’t have the same benefits as CBD oil. It’s very important to look out for this to make sure you’re getting what you’re actually looking for. Our Oil is the real deal so look no further if you are planning on buying CBD.
The hemp extract oils that are the basis of CBD products are made from the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant, where all those beneficial phytocannabinoids live.
Will CBD Get Me High?
CBD does not have the intoxicating properties of THC because it doesn’t directly bind to your CB1 receptors.
All humans contain an endocannabinoid system made up of CB1 and CB2 receptors, These receptors interact with cannabinoids like THC and CBD as well as working with the cannabinoids produced by your own body, CB1 receptors are located mostly in the brain.
The binding of THC to your CB1 receptors is what makes you have the feeling of being high.
CBD also interacts with the CB1 receptor, but not directly.
CBD can block the breakdown of a cannabinoid which your body produces called anandamide.
Anandamide, which gets its name from the Sanskrit word Ananda meaning bliss, binds to your CB1 receptors similarly to THC.
The relaxing effects of CBD are thought to be caused by it’s prevention of the breakdown of the Anadamide.
CBD is “non-psychoactive”.
You don’t have to dig deep to find information about how CBD is “non-psychoactive”.
While CBD may not affect your mental state in the same way as THC, it certainly has an effect on the mind for a majority of people.
The positive mental effects of CBD are by far what makes CBD so special!
The leaves and flowers of marijuana plants are used to make joints and edibles because they typically contain 15-20% THC. CBD oils are made from the hemp plants, which contain, at most, 0.3% THC. That’s why CBD oils don’t get you high.
Why put CBD oil under your tongue?
Not very many people know this but taking certain supplements under your tongue can help the supplement get absorbed by the body quicker
The supplement is absorbed by the body faster.” But why? Well, when a substance is placed under your tongue for example CBD, it diffuses through the mucous membranes beneath your tongue, because of the plethora of capillaries that are there, the CBD then has a direct route into your bloodstream. This allows the oil or medicine to work faster,
Because our digestive tract breaks down our food and quite often the nutrients are destroyed so basically it literally gets flushed down the toilet, So putting under the tongue can speed up the process and hit your bloodstream immediately.
There have been reports on many health sites that cutting medication (tablets in half and placing it under the tongue can produce the same effect as swallowing one tablet.
There is also another way of taking our CBD oil, This technique is called the Pechoti method. According to Ayurvedic text, it’s talked about how the Pechoti gland is located behind the belly button. When a woman is pregnant, this is where nutrients are carried from mother to baby. Right at the end of the umbilical cord lies the Pechoti gland, and it remains there long after birth. What makes this truly amazing and a mind blowing fact is that the Pechoti gland is connected to more than 70 million nerves, tissues, and organs throughout the body. That’s a huge amount!
